Terms and conditions
Last updated: 30 August 2026.
These terms govern the use of this website and describe the general framework of the vehicle leasing service provided by CAR 4 YOU PANAMA, S.A. The lease agreement you sign is a separate document: where they differ, that agreement prevails over what is described here.
Purpose and acceptance
By browsing this site or submitting the contact form you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Nature of the service
Car4You leases vehicles from its own fleet to professional drivers. A lease does not transfer ownership: the unit remains the property of the company for the whole term of the agreement.
Information published on this site is indicative and is not a binding offer. The financial terms of each case are set in the quote and in the agreement.
Who can contract
Adults holding a valid national ID or passport, a valid driving licence, and the authorised passenger transport paperwork required by the competent authority.
Car4You may request further documentation and reserves the right not to approve an application, without this giving rise to any duty to compensate.
Quote and formalisation
The quote states the proposed vehicle, the deposit, the payment schedule and the instalment amount. It is valid for a limited period stated in the document itself.
The service begins once the agreement is signed and the agreed handover conditions are met.
Payments, instalments and arrears
Instalments may be agreed weekly, biweekly or monthly, as set out in the agreement.
Late payment triggers the late fee set in the agreement. The agreement also fixes the maximum number of overdue instalments tolerated before early termination becomes available.
Every payment received is recorded and reflected in the driver account statement.
Use of the vehicle
The vehicle is for the service authorised in the agreement and must be driven by the person named in it.
Subleasing the unit, handing it to unauthorised third parties, using it for unlawful purposes or for competition, and towing or carrying loads beyond its capacity are all prohibited.
The driver must comply with the traffic regulations in force in Panama.
Maintenance and condition
Car4You manages scheduled maintenance across the fleet and tracks mileage and oil changes for every unit.
The driver must present the vehicle when called for maintenance and report any fault without delay. Damage caused by improper use, negligence or failure to report in time is the driver responsibility.
Accidents, insurance and fines
Any accident must be reported to Car4You immediately and to the competent authority where applicable.
Traffic fines and offences incurred while the agreement is in force are the driver responsibility.
Cover, deductibles and exclusions are detailed in the agreement and in the policy in force for the unit.
Termination
The agreement may end on expiry of its term, by mutual agreement, or on breach, in the cases the agreement itself sets out.
On termination the vehicle must be returned at the agreed place and in a condition consistent with normal use.
